Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting and assuring products comply with all quality specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities 

  • Report to Manager on department performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Compile and distribute required documentation for assigned production line.
  • Production line set-up; codes, weights, torques and any special requirements.
  • Perform incoming raw material inspections. 
  • Perform hourly inputs of weights and torques and any special requirements.
  • Perform incoming raw material inspections. 
  • Perform hourly inputs of weights and torques into Anstat database and verify overall quality of product.
  • Notify Line Tender, Production Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager when product does not meet specification.
  • Deliver production line retains to laboratory.
  • Perform all duties as required in the Stay Safe Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with Goodwin Company Checks and Balances.


  • Hands-on or cumulative work experience may substitute for formal training.


  • 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing with chemical inspection experience preferred.

  • Strong process documentation, procedure, and quality knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be motivated and discipline as necessary while creating positive attitudes within the workforce.
  • Ability to establish priorities, multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent time management and strong organizational planning and communications skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Must be able to lift 35-45 lbs.

  • Understand how YOUR work affects the environment:    1) Do NOT pour chemicals or hazardous liquids down the drain.   2) Do NOT place corrugate cardboard in the trash; it will be taken to the cardboard baler and recycled.   3) Do NOT litter; place trash in a waste can or dumpster.  
  • Understand and follow the ISO 14001 procedures and work instructions that apply to YOUR job.
